A new exhibit titled Drop Spindles is on display at the White Bluffs Quilt Museum, 294 Torbett in Richland.

The small devices have been used for 10,000 years to spin thread and yard from animal and plant sources. The exhibit features spindles from the exotic Turkish spindle to the more humble handmade spindle. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission is free.
