A Richland man is being held at the Benton County jail after he allegedly threatened to blow up an apartment complex.

Capt. Mike Cobb of the Richland Police Department said Daniel Bennett Kieneker, 50, of Richland, was arrested Tuesday after threatening the manager of his apartment complex on the 1800 block of Jadwin Avenue in Richland.

Kieneker told the manager Monday that he was going to blow up the building after she refused to fire a maintenance man that Kieneker claimed resembled a suspect wanted for murder, Cobb said.

On Tuesday, Cobb said Kieneker again threatened the manager and the maintenance worker, telling them he would "feed them to the pigs."

Cobb said several people at the complex told police that Kieneker was making threatening remarks. Police arrested Kieneker and checked his apartment for bomb making materials, but found nothing.
