BENTON CITY -- Kiona-Benton City High School's Knowledge Bowl team recently won first place in Division 1A at the regional tournament.

This qualifies the team to compete in the state competition March 23 in Arlington.

Team members who will be competing at state are Kristina Wight, Blake Hirschi, Ty Cannon, Eric Glasgow, Meghan Vering and Jessica Rolland.

The team coaches are Holli Prior and Kimm Minkler.

Diabetes, kidney disease topic of talk set for March 20

Kadlec Diabetes Learning Center is offering an educational meeting on "Diabetes and Kidney Disease Concerns."

The meeting will be from 5 to 6 p.m. March 20 at the Columbia Basin Health Science Center, 891 Mansfield St., Room 249, Richland.
