Kennewick's Coleman an All-American at LC State

Published: March 11, 2013

Kennewick High School graduate Kaytlyn Coleman, a freshman at Lewis-Clark State College, finished high enough to earn All-American honors in the weight throw at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Geneva, Ohio.

Coleman claimed seventh overall with a distance of 56 feet, 4.5 inches. Coleman is the first indoor track and field All-American in LCSC program history.

Because she’s only a freshman, LCSC head coach Mike Collins says Coleman will develop as a thrower and could compete for the national title in the weight throw in years to come.
