Sarcoma presentation set for March 19 in Kennewick

The Tri-Cities Cancer Center will offer a free presentation on “Understanding Sarcoma” at noon March 19 in Kennewick.

Medical oncologist Dr. Iyad Hamameh will talk about types of sarcoma, risk factors, signs and symptoms.

Sarcoma is the term for a group of cancers affecting connective tissues such as bone, muscle, cartilage, skin and fatty tissue. The two main types are bone tumors and soft tissue sarcomas.
