Two of the chancellor candidates for Washington State University Tri-Cities are invited to final interviews Friday in Pullman.

Karla Hughes and Keith Moo-Young will meet with WSU President Elson S. Floyd and other university officials. Both finalists visited the Richland campus last month.

Floyd will make his recommendation for a hire to the WSU Board of Regents sometime after the meetings.

University and search officials have said a decision could come this spring.

Hughes is the provost at Morehead State University in Kentucky. Moo-Young is dean of engineering at California State University-Los Angeles.

A third candidate, Ronald Brown, was recently offered the presidency of the University of North Texas at Dallas, though it's unknown if he has accepted the position.

The university has searched for a new chancellor for the 1,500 student campus since Vicky Carwein left last fall for Indiana University Purdue University at Fort Wayne.
