I was so happy when the Hanford High basketball team won the opportunity to travel to Spokane. I grabbed the Saturday paper to find out where and when they were playing. I first read on page B2, "Hanford plays at University today for a chance to advance to regionals." I had no reason to doubt but I believe in "trust but verify," so I went to the area schedule on page B6. Sure enough it said "Hanford at University, 8 o'clock." I decided not to verify the time (big mistake). I decided to verify one more time. I Googled "Hanford High" and found a link for "Hanford game directions." The link verified the game was at University High. That was good enough for me. Me, my son and grandson got in the car at 5 o'clock and started our 21/2 hour trip to University High. That would get us there 1/2 hour early. We arrived to a dark building and parking lot. After some frantic phone calls and directions on my grandson's smart phone we arrived at Shadle Park in time to watch 2 minutes of the game. Where did I go wrong?
