Knowledge Bowl teams from both high schools in Richland have qualified for the Washington State Knowledge Bowl.

Hanford High School's team took first at the Southeastern Washington competition. Team members are Jonah Bartrand, Sriram Katipamula, Sathvik Ramanan, Konrad Krogstad, Xie Xi and Chenchen Li.

Richland High School's team qualified at the Eastern Washington Super Regional by taking second. Team members include Drew Saunders, Scott Yoshida, Antony Chen, Argo Datta and Jesse Liston.

Knowledge Bowl is similar to Jeopardy! and covers a variety of topics, from language skills and history to science and math.

The state competition will be March 23 in Arlington.
