Letters: Liberal media

Published: March 3, 2013

A serious observation followed by a light comment: 1) President Obama recently announced that he's supporting a federal, inflation-adjusted minimum-wage increase from $7.25 to $9 per hour. That is a 24 percent increase attributed to inflation, but Ben Bernanke, chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, uses the supposed absence of inflation as a reason to steal the interest earnings from seniors' savings. They both can't be right but they both appear to have the same goal of destroying the American economy.

2) It is a good thing that the recent meteoroid entered the atmosphere over Russia rather than the U.S. or else President Obama and the liberal media would be blaming George W. Bush for the damage it caused. As it is, a leader of a Russian conservative party is claiming that the incident was not caused by a meteoroid but by the testing of a U.S. secret weapon. This will probably be translated, if noticed at all, by liberal media as, "Russia claims that the incident is believed to be the result of a Bush era war mongering experiment that has gone astray."
