Years ago when my husband left I had three children -- no job, no skills and no money. I hung my head in shame and applied for welfare. My goal was to become self-sufficient as soon as possible. And I gladly would have submitted to a drug test.

It seems today there is no shame in being on welfare. I know people who know how to play the welfare game and then own iPhones etc. Yes, some do drugs. So do the test ... and more than that.
