Go Red for women's health
I was pleased to be a guest, along with a banquet-roomful of other women, a few men, too, at the recent Kennewick General Hospital-sponsored "Go Red for Women" luncheon.
This free event, including a delicious lunch prepared by Anthony's restaurant, accompanied a lively and informative presentation by two KGH physicians who care for women. Dr. Deepa Upadhyaya, cardiologist, updated us on the latest research regarding women's heart health, while Dr. Maria Ello talked about the importance of exercise for good health.
This was my third year to attend. I always come away enthused and filled with new resolve to take better care of myself, and to share what I've learned.
Thank you, KGH, for presenting this delightful and important event in our community.
