Richland — A Kennewick woman faces negligent driving charges after losing control of her car, hitting a Highway 240 median and landing in a ditch today in Richland, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Sarah C. Mason, 34, was driving her 1996 Honda Civic south on Stevens Drive when she lost control her of her car, struck the median and crossed Highway 240, the State Patrol reported. The crash happened about noon today.

Her car landed in a ditch near the eastbound lanes of 240. Mason was injured and taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland with unknown injuries, the State Patrol said.

The State Patrol said Mason faces negligent driving charges.
