I was very disappointed in the front-page articles that appeared recently in the Tri-City Herald that criticized former state Sen. Jerome Delvin (now Benton County commissioner) and state Rep. Brad Klippert for their obtaining reimbursements for completely allowable and valid expenses related to their legislative duties.
I have interacted with both men on numerous occasions in their capacities as legislators, and I have always found them to be exceptionally responsive and courteous. The criticism of these two selfless public servants is unwarranted and unbecoming of a reputable newspaper.
