Grandview, Wash. — Police are accusing a 28-year-old volunteer sports coach with the Grandview School District of sexual misconduct with a minor.
In a news release issued late Monday afternoon, Grandview police said they arrested the man Friday on suspicion of second-degree sexual misconduct and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.
The man, a Grandview resident, was released on bail Saturday and has not been charged.
The police departments news release did not state what school the man had served as volunteer coach and Grandview School District Superintendent Kevin Chase couldnt be reached for comment late Monday afternoon.
In their news release, police alleged the incidents that led to the mans arrest occurred between October 2011 and January 2012 and involved more than one female victim.
Police said their investigation began Jan. 11 and that the suspect was arrested without incident at noon Friday at the police station.
