The annual March for Babies walk in the Tri-Cities is April 20 in Richland. The walk raises money for March of Dimes, a nonprofit that focuses on pregnancy and baby health.

Officials expect 1,000 participants in the local walk, which will start at John Dam Plaza in Richland. Registration is at 8 a.m. and the walk is at 9 a.m. Food and entertainment will follow.

Participants can form teams to raise money or walk as individuals. The walk will be 3 to 5 miles — officials still are working out the precise route.
