Suspects sought in Walmart thefts in Kennewick, Pasco

Authorities are looking for three people who were involved in the theft of more than $3,500 from Walmart stores in Kennewick and Pasco.

The suspects took turns distracting sales associates so cash could be removed from the stores' registers, according to a release from Crime Stoppers of the Tri-Cities.

Hermiston man arrested for alleged assault over small debt

HERMISTON -- A 22-year-old man was arrested Thursday for allegedly assaulting someone over a small debt.

Francisco J. Carillo got into an argument with another 22-year-old Hermiston man early that afternoon, leading to the assault, according to a release from the Hermiston Police Department.

Carillo was found several hours after the incident and booked into the Umatilla County jail under suspicion of second-degree assault.

The victim was treated by Hermiston Fire & Emergency Services and taken to Good Shepherd Hospital, but his injuries weren't life-threatening, police said.
