Registration is now open for Washington State University Grant and Adams Area Extension's "Building Soil Tilth in the Columbia Basin" workshops.

One workshop will be offered Tuesday at Big Bend Community College, 7662 Chanute St. N.E., Moses Lake.

Another workshop will be offered Feb. 28 at the Best Western Hotel, 2811 N. 20th Ave., Pasco.

The free workshops will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will learn about how to improve soil, including compost, manure and cover cropping.
