To all of you "snow birds" who stop city of Kennewick water and sewer to save a few bucks while gone in the winter. Beware! We stopped service on Jan. 2 and just received a bill for December and January.

When I called to see why they charged us for January, the lady said we should have called back when we didn't get a closing bill.

So, it was our fault, and they can't "unspill the milk." In other words, it is not the city's fault and we should just buck up and pay the bill and be happy that the city will now do the job we asked them to do on Jan. 2. Oh, but we should again be watching for a closing bill.
