Women Helping Women Fund Tri-Cities is accepting applications for 2014 grants.

Since its inception in 2000, the group has contributed over $1 million to programs that benefit women and children in the Tri-City community. Grants range from $2,500 to $25,000 and are limited to specific programs within an agency.

Proceeds from the October 2013 luncheon will determine the amount to be awarded in 2014. No federal money is included in the grants.

Last year, the group gave about $138,000 to seven Tri-City organizations.
