The Oregon Department of Agriculture fined DW Ag Service of Hermiston $518 for apparently applying pesticides in a faulty, careless or negligent manner. Dennis A. Winters of Hermiston also was issued a $407 civil penalty for his role.
Those who receive civil penalties from the Oregon Department of Agriculture can contest the notice through an administrative hearing.
