Afro-Americans for an Academic Society will offer a scholarship information workshop at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pasco.
Students in 10th, 11th and 12th grades and their parents are encouraged to attend the free three-hour workshop.
The organization recognizes the academic success of black Tri-City students who achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or better. AAAS also has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to students since the 1990s.
The scholarship workshop will be at McLoughlin Middle School, 2803 N. Road 88.
