All who are interested in participating as a contestant, little sister or volunteer in the Miss Tri-Cities Scholarship Program are invited to an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. March 16 at Banner Bank, 201 W. 1st. Ave., Kennewick.
Halle Goodwin (Miss Tri-Cities 2012) and Tayler Plunkett (Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen 2012) will give presentations beginning at 1:30 p.m. Applications and informational brochures will be available on-site.
For the miss program, contestants must be between 17 and 24 years of age and a high school graduate by July 1. For the teen program, contestants must be no younger than 13 years and no older than 17 years of age, and cannot be a graduating high school senior.
Contestants must never have been married, be willing to adopt a platform or cause, meet residency and character requirements as set forth by the Miss America Organization, and have a musical or dramatic talent.
The Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen and Miss Tri-Cities pageants will be held July 19-20 at the Kennewick High School Auditorium.
Winners will compete in the Miss Washington Outstanding Teen and Miss Washington pageants in July 2014 and will have the opportunity to win scholarships for college.
