HAPO expects to open Queensgate area branch

HAPO Community Credit Union expects to open a new $2 million branch this summer in Richland's Queensgate area at the intersection of Kennedy Road and Duportail Street.

The building permit was issued Tuesday, said Crystal Contreras, HAPO communications director.

The branch, at 3064 Duportail St., will be HAPO's 14th in Washington, not including the credit union in Hermiston, Contreras said. The 3,642-square-foot building will look like HAPO's College Place bank.

Dave Schulz, president and CEO, said in a news release that the new location will allow HAPO to better respond to the needs of its members.
