Letter: Legal immigrant's dilemma evidence we're losing our minds

February 11, 2013

Crazy predicament

Robert Leam, who was brought to the United States legally as a small child, graduated from high school and has been a good kid, cannot get a job, go to college or join the military because he is here legally.

If his parents had brought him here illegally, he would be able to get a job (if he wanted one), go to college and maybe even have financial aid or join the military. We are living in an upside-down and backward world and we are losing our minds.
