COLUMBIA BASIN 75, YAKIMA VALLEY 73 (OT): The Hawks survived a scare from the Yaks in an NWAACC East game in Pasco on Saturday.
Columbia Basin (12-11 overall, 8-3 league) outscored Yakima Valley (13-11, 6-5) 10-8 in the overtime period to earn the victory, erasing a 41-35 halftime deficit.
Sierra Higheagle scored 20 points to lead the Hawks, who attempted 20 less field goals than the Yaks though both teams made 27 shots.
Hannah Depew added 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
Angelique Williams scored a game-high 29 points for the Yaks.
