WSU Tri-Cities chancellor candidate sees potential for Richland campus

Published: February 8, 2013

— Karla Hughes said Washington State University Tri-Cities should be the institution of choice for Hispanics in Washington and the branch campus could expand its agricultural sciences offerings.

Hughes, the first candidate for chancellor to make a public visit to the Richland campus, met with nearly 100 community members, students, faculty and staff on Friday.

Candidate Ronald Brown will visit the campus on Monday and university officials said a third candidate may visit Feb. 28, though no other details have been provided about that visit.
