Thumbs down to the Herald editorial board for its comments on the National Rifle Association on Jan. 21. The remarks were hypocritical, biased and unfair.

I give the Herald "four Pinnochios" for stretching the truth, implying by omission that President Obama's use of four children during the signing ceremony as being acceptable.

Why was this act by the White House not also derided in the editorial? To me the Herald has shown its color -- neither red nor purple, but blue.
