The Tri-Cities maintained its place of the February list of improving housing markets according to the National Association of Home Builders.

The index is based on employment, home prices and single-family housing permits.

Of the 259 metropolitan areas on the list, seven are from Washington state, and include Yakima, Spokane, Wenatchee, Bellingham, Longview and Seattle.
