A good friend recently invited me to join her at the local Red Lion restaurant and use her gift card.

I was giving thanks prior to beginning our dinners and noticed a nearby family observing us.

We enjoyed both meals along with the relaxed atmosphere and asked our waitress for the check.

She informed us that our dinners had been paid for by the family that already had left. We left with a wonderful warm thankful feeling and look forward to passing the kindness along to someone we don't know in the near future.

Our every day lives can stand more of this type of kindness.
