Foreigner plans to rock Benton-Franklin fair stage

Foreigner comes to the Benton-Franklin County Fair this summer, the fair board announced Monday.

The band, whose hits include Cold As Ice, Urgent, Waiting for a Girl Like You, and Hot Blooded, reached its height of popularity in the late '70s to mid-'80s.

Foreigner performs on the main stage at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick.

The show comes with admission to the fair, but reserve seats also are available for $15 and go on sale Friday at the fair office on 10th Avenue or online at

The fair's entertainment roster includes Theory of a Deadman, Clay Walker and Love and Theft with one more act to be announced later.
