Benton Fire District 1 financial manager retires

BY THE TRI-CITY HERALDFebruary 1, 2013

Benton Fire District 1's longtime financial manager is retiring.

Arliss Redekopp's last day was Thursday. She came to the district in 1995 as an administrative assistant and eventually took over the financial duties, a district news release said.

The release described her as "well respected in her field," someone who's guided other fire districts on tax levies, bond indebtedness, financial management and budgets.

She's also served as finance section chief for a state incident management team that handles large fires and disasters -- a position she'll still hold in retirement, the news release said.

She also plans to travel with her husband, Rich and spend time with her grandkids
