In response to Dan Suter's challenge to name specifics about FOX News lying (Letters, Jan. 16): Health care reform is a government takeover -- named Politifact's lie of the year in 2009.

Health care reform contained death panels -- Politifact's lie of the year in 2010.

Here are a few more FOX News statements Politifact rates as false:

w There's been more debt under Obama than all presidents combined.

w Halting Gulf drilling costs $1 billion a day in imports.

w Massachusetts health care is wildly unpopular among residents.

w America is the only country that grants citizenship at birth.

w Texas board of education is eliminating references to Christmas from textbooks.

w Less than 10 percent of Obama's Cabinet has any private sector experience.

w The White House director was once the right-hand man of Acorn.

Creative editing and misquotes by FOX News:

w Sean Hannity edits Obama's speech in Cairo to make the president appear to say "We are not a Christian nation."

w Steve Doocy deliberately misquotes the president, claiming Obama said, "I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth."

w Sean Hannity is caught using old film footage to make a Michele Bachman Tea Party rally look bigger than it was.

Google "FOX News lies." The truth will set you free of your misperceptions.
