A grief counselor and author who's appeared on Oprah Winfrey, Larry King Live and NBC's Today show will be giving a free talk in Richland.

Alan D. Wolfelt will be speaking on "Understanding Your Grief: Touchstones for Hope and Healing," which is the title of one of his books.

The program is for anyone who has experienced or is experiencing grief.

The presentation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Sunset Event Center, 915 bypass highway, Richland.

Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. on the day of the event. Space will be limited.
