Thankful Thursday: Grant helps quilt museum offer programs for kids

Published: January 31, 2013

White Bluffs Quilt Museum has received a grant from Three Rivers Community Foundation Endowment Fund to support the children's summer school and after-school programs.

We are grateful to the foundation and to the donors of their endowment fund. The grant supports a children's program now in its seventh year. The grant will pay for more than 20 classes in fiber and textile arts projects for children at our facility at 294 Torbett St., Richland.

Summer school will begin in June and the after-school program begins Feb. 19.

Both programs are open to all Tri-City children. Special provisions are available for "at-risk" students. Enrollment dates will be published and posted on the web at www.whitebluffscenter.org.

Three Rivers Community Foundation is dedicated to endowments for nonprofits.
