— Bechtel National will contribute $250,000 toward efforts to build a new facility for Delta High School.

Frank Russo, project director with Bechtel, handed a check to officials with the Washington State Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, or STEM, Foundation at Delta High in Richland this morning.

The STEM high school is jointly operated by the Kennewick, Richland and Pasco school districts. The foundation has been raising money for years to pay for a new building for Delta High’s 340 students.
