A Kennewick woman found dead on Saturday did not die of influenza or any other infectious disease, Benton County Coroner John Hansens said Tuesday.
The Kennewick Police Department reported Monday that the death of Elizabeth M. Thursby, 29, was being investigated as a possible flu death.
Police reported that the Columbia Basin College student was found in bed in her home, and that witnesses said she had been sick for days.
But an autopsy Tuesday suggested Thursby died from some other natural cause, Hansens said. The exact cause won't be determined until lab tests return, likely in six to eight weeks, he said.
