An fire early Friday destroyed an RV and a nearby vehicle, but no one was hurt in the blaze, authorities said.
The fire broke out about 4 a.m. Firefighters arrived at 33 W. Deschutes Place in Kennewick to find "a well involved fire" that had spread to the RV, the vehicle and fencing and "other combustibles," a city news release said.
A man inside the RV escaped safely. He and a neighbor tried unsuccessfully to control the blaze, the release said.
Kennewick fire crews battled the blaze, with help from Benton Fire District 1. The cause hasn't yet been determined.
