Residents in part of Rancho Reata in Kennewick lost their connection to Charter Communications Wednesday morning, leaving them without television, phones or the Internet.

The outage affected E. 83 PR SE, Alhambra Road, E. Caballo Place, E. Chelsea Road, E. Christine Drive and E. Clover Road.

Charter attributed the outage to a truck hitting a power line. The pole had to be replaced and the fiber-optic cable repaired.

Restoration work was delayed overnight due to freezing rain, and the repairs were completed by 11 a.m. Thursday, the company said.
