I understand there is a proposal to establish a feedlot/dairy at the base of Rattlesnake Mountain. This would seem to be in direct alignment with the Benton City and the Tri-Cities in relation to the prevailing westward winds. This would include wineries and other businesses that make their money by bragging about the clean air and sunshine.

I can understand a company wanting to make money, but remember how Sunnyside and now Franklin County north of Pasco smells. It is not a good enticement to come to this area.

I hope Benton County officials consider this when meeting to discuss the establishment of a feedlot/dairy at the base of Rattlesnake.
