Lorraine Seymour, an entomologist with the WSU Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center in Prosser, will feature a talk on native plants, insects and wine grapes.
-- The Intermountain Alpine Club will hold an overnight trip Jan. 26-27 to Gold Hill Cabin east of Chinook Pass.

The sagebrush shoot event begins at 10 a.m. Feb. 2.
The course closes at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 3.
Registration for traditional shoot event opens at 7 a.m. March 30 and the course closes at 5 p.m.
Registration opens again at 7 a.m. March 31 and the course closes at 2:30 p.m.
Both events will take place at the archery range on Hall Road, Richland.

-- Rick Hafele and Skip Morris are offering a fly-fishing workshop on "Mastering Western Rivers and Lakes" will be held March 16-17 in Ellensburg.
Hafele is an aquatic entomologist. Morris is a fly-fishing expert.
Participants will learn about what insects, rods, reels, lines and leaders to use.
The cost is $165 for both days, or $90 for one day.
