By the Tri-City HeraldJanuary 23, 2013

The National Weather Service has extended the air stagnation advisory for the Tri-Cities until noon today.

However, the Tri-Cities could see some sunshine by afternoon and again Thursday.

Today, expect more patchy freezing fog before 10 a.m. A slight chance of rain and snow is in the forecast after 10 a.m. Any precipitation is expected to fall as snow at elevations over 600 feet, and much of the Tri-Cities is near 400 feet.

Thursday should be dry and sunny with highs climbing into the low 40s.
