Walla Walla winemaker Charles Smith, who owns K Vintners, Charles Smith Wines and Secco Italian Bubbles, has formed a partnership with Napa Valley's Trinchero Family Estates for Charles & Charles, a joint wine venture with New York City wine innovator Charles Bieler.

This will be the first Washington state brand for Trinchero Family Estates.

Smith and Bieler will direct the winemaking for the brand, using grapes grown throughout Washington, and crafting and bottling the wines in the Columbia Valley.
