I don't understand the charade of pretending there is a limit on federal borrowing (debt ceiling). One does not need to be clairvoyant to predict how the current "crisis" will turn out.

Our leaders in Washington, D.C., will expend copious amounts of hot air and pretend they are reluctant to borrow ever more money. Then every one of them will claim they are compelled to vote for increased spending to avoid disaster. Has Congress ever done otherwise?
