I have to agree with Richard Reuther's letter where he stated: "The presence of guns in any environment establishes the possibility of violence where little or none existed previously." In a word, "no," I don't think teachers should be armed. They are not paid to be "armed guards" and they didn't get into teaching to do so. I believe it was very irresponsible for Rep. Klippert to suggest arming teachers.
