Dade Moeller of Richland has established a new subsidiary, Dade Moeller Health Group.

Dade Moeller specializes in radiological and environmental health sciences, and the new subsidiary will support its ongoing growth and diversification within the health care industry across the nation.

"Over the past several years, we have taken calculated steps to extend our radiation protection, occupational safety and quality assurance expertise to the use of radiation and radioactive materials in the health care industry," Chief Executive Matt Moeller said in a statement.

Dade Moeller already provides a variety of services across the industry, including medical physics, radiation safety training, radiation dosimetry, industrial hygiene and laboratory support.

Customers have included medical clinics; cancer centers; pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly, Genentech and MedImmune; Veterans Administration medical centers, hospitals; health care management companies like Kaiser Permanente and medical suppliers such as Siemens Medical Solutions and Stryker Corp.

It also offers accredited courses to those responsible for the use of radiation and radioactive materials in a medical environment.
