Game Day: Kamloops at Tri-City

January 18, 2013

The Kamloops Blazers and former Tri-City defenseman Sam Grist are at Toyota Center to take ont he Americans.

Tri-City beat Kamloops 3-1 last week on the road. The Americans lead the season series 2-1.

As you have all heard by now, Americans goalie Eric Comrie has been shelved for the season by a hip injury. He will have surgery Feb. 5 in Vail, Colo. He should be back on the ice in 3-4 months.

In the meantime, Luke Lee-Knight will man the goal. LLK is 5-2-0-0 going into tonight's game. He has won his last three starts.

Tonight, Tri-City captain Justin Feser plays his 295th consecutive regular-season game.

Also, Zach Yuen is 3 points away from 100 for his WHL career.

Tonight, Kevin Muench, WHL director of officiating, is in the house. Jason Cramer and Jason Nissen had better be at their best.

A broken pane of glass near the Zamboni entrance is holding up the show.
