Thankful Thursday: Lunker Lake prizes at Tri-City Sportsmen Show at TRAC in Pasco

January 17, 2013

What could be better than young boys or girls catching one of their first trout? Well, that would be having it be a special tagged fish and winning a prize!

The Richland Rod and Gun Club would like to thank a number of businesses for donating prizes for special tagged fish at this year's Lunker Lake at the Tri-Cities Sportsmen Show, which runs Friday through Sunday at TRAC in Pasco.

About 100 of the fish that are in the Lunker Lake fishing pond for kids to catch will be tagged. Each tag will be associated with specific prizes with a top prize of $100 cash! Other prizes will include gift certificates, fishing rod/reel combinations, mini-blizzards, fishing lures, hats, soft-side coolers and fishing line.

The prizes are from the generosity of the Griggs, Shuyler Productions, Wholesale Sports, Richland Rod and Gun Club and Dairy Queen. The prizes will certainly make this fun kids' event more exciting for all the future fishers casting into Lunker Lake.

The club would also like to thank Douglas Fruit for donating plywood that will be used for building wood duck boxes by kids at the show. Thanks!
