Jones, Ross lead CBC women past Wenatchee Valley

CBC WOMEN 56, WENATCHEE VALLEY 39: Alicia Jones and Kellie Ross provided Columbia Basin with an ample inside-outside attack, and the Hawks won their third consecutive East Region game, defeating visiting Wenatchee Valley on Wednesday.

Jones scored a game-high 16 points — on 7-for-10 shooting mostly around the basket — and grabbed six rebounds for CBC (7-9 overall, 3-1 East). Ross added 15 points, all from outside the 3-point line, where she was 5-for-7.

Lauren Schulz led the Knights (9-8, 0-4) with 14 points, including going 4-for-6 from the 3-point stripe.

CBC held WVC’s Kassy Larson — the team’s leading scorer at 15.3 points a game and a Kamiakin High graduate — to just 4 points.
