Banned books topic of library discussion Thursday in Kennewick

Mid-Columbia Libraries is sponsoring a presentation on banned books.

Andrea Campbell, an English professor at Washington State University Tri-Cities in Richland, will speak on “Banned Books: Exploring Our Most Dangerous Reads," in Kennewick.

She will examine why people ban books and whether censorship is the answer.

The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the library at 1620 S. Union St., Kennewick.
