— Drivers should expect traffic delays over the next two days near Winco Foods on Clearwater Avenue in Kennewick as intersection upgrades are made.

The traffic signal at Clearwater Avenue and Yost Street is being upgraded as part of Winco’s remodel, according to the city of Kennewick. The upgrades will include left turn arrows at the intersection to help drivers making turns during heavy traffic times.

Winco has paid for the necessary signal upgrades and installation costs as part of its site improvements, according to the city. Since the store was built in 1995, traffic growth on Clearwater Avenue has created the need for left turn arrows

The city will change signal timing and oversee the installations. The work should be completed on Thursday.
